What is this Event?
The Ravalli County Weed district is proud to announce our second annual mud run. Ravalli County needs to have more fun family oriented things to do and this mud run fits the bill.
The Ravalli County Mudders for Conservation is a fundraiser to help with conservation education efforts in our county. The proceeds will be used for educational materials, outreach activities, classes, and grants that pertain to wildlife, soils, water, forestry, and of course noxious weeds.
The run is going to consist of about a 5K course with obstacles that will help you relive your childhood where you can get muddy and let your dirty side run wild. Over 12 obstacles will be endured on the Adult course (ages 11 and over). A Munchkin obstacle course consisting of over 10 courses for the kids 10 and under. This is not a timed course. We want everyone to just have fun, challenge themselves, and learn about the on-going conservation efforts.
What is Included in Registration?
- Wrist Band
When Should I Arrive?
We recommend arriving an hour prior to your start time so you can park, check in, check your bags (if needed), check out the vendor/food court, and get ready for your Mudders experience. Please be at the Start Gate 10 minutes prior to your designated wave time.
Where do I Park?
Parking for spectators and runners will be at the Hamilton Airport. Keep an eye out for a sign showing where to park. Make sure you get to the Check-In area to pick up your packet and runner number.
What Should I Wear?
We are encouraging costumes. However you can wear pretty much whatever you want, but know a few things: You will be going over, under and through obstacles, please don’t wear anything that will interfere with your safety or the safety of another participant. There will be families here so keep it tasteful. Due to the nature of some of our obstacles, we recommend leaving loose articles such as glasses and hats behind. Our top racers often choose tight fitting clothes that drain and wick water away quickly. Good socks can provide leg protection on the course. If you choose to wear a GoPro, make sure that it is properly secured. You will be running on uneven terrain. Wear proper footwear!
What Happens if it Rains?
This is a rain or shine event. Keep in mind, the rain will only make for a better, muddier time! If there is a possibility of threatening weather, information will be posted on the Ravalli County Mudders website and our Facebook page so that runners can prepare for severe weather during the race, as well as possible course changes. We have the right to adjust the course as needed for the safety of our runners.
When do I Run?
The waves are set up in 30 minute increments. You will select which wave to run when you checkout. Please be at the Start Gate 10 minutes prior to your designated wave time.
